Welcome, New Patients

Welcome: Here’s How to Prepare

A little preparation helps us spend more of your appointment talking about you and less time on paperwork. Once your appointment is scheduled, we’ll send a link to the patient portal so you can complete your new patient forms online. It saves about 15 minutes in the waiting room and lets Dr. Wright review your background before you walk in.

Your first appointment is intentionally longer than a typical follow-up, usually 45 to 60 minutes. We use that time to talk about your medical history, current concerns, lifestyle, and goals. When it’s over, you and Dr. Wright will have a working plan and a clear sense of when you’ll see each other next.

Medications

How to Refill Your Prescription

If you take regular medication, the easiest way to keep refills on schedule is to mention it at your next visit. When you need a refill between visits, here are your options, fastest first:

  1. Ask your pharmacy. Call your pharmacy and ask them to send a refill request to our office.
  2. Send a portal message. Include the medication name, dose, and your preferred pharmacy.
  3. Call the office. Have your medication bottle handy so we can confirm the exact name and dose.

We typically respond to refill requests within one to two business days.

Important Notes About Refills

  • Some medications, including most controlled substances, require an in-person visit before a refill can be authorized.
  • Antibiotics and other short-course medications are generally not refilled without a new evaluation.
  • If it’s been more than a year since your last visit, we may ask you to come in before refilling chronic medications.
  • For refills outside business hours, call your pharmacy first. Many can dispense an emergency supply if needed.

Lab results are posted to your patient portal once they’re reviewed and signed off by Dr. Wright, usually within a few business days. If a result needs follow-up, we’ll reach out by phone or portal message.
